How Contact Lens Online Started
The idea to create Contact Lens Online started after the company founders had a challenging experience trying to buy contact lenses online back in November 2009. After trying for hours (or what seemed like hours) to find the right brand and contact lens type, we were dismayed at having to wait 3-5 days for our order to arrive. Shipping was expensive and the price wasn’t that much cheaper than buying retail at your local optometrist.
Spurned on by this experience, we thought that there must be many hundreds, if not thousands of New Zealanders out there who have had the same experience. To find out what the market (people like you) wanted, we surveyed many would be buyers through this website to find out what customers really wanted.
Well, it came as no surprise that two key factors were by far the most important when buying contact lenses (or really anything) online. They were price and delivery. But we were surprised by the order in which they came in. Delivery was by far the most important, because people want to know when it’ll be in their letter box and ready to use (this is the key advantage or retail by the way).
Since conducting this research, we’re strived to have ultra fast delivery, giving you multiple delivery and tracking options so you can choose how fast you want your contact lenses. We keep a keen eye on prices to ensure we’re just as price competitive as the other websites available for you to choose from.
